X-IG Image Generator
CATI's X-IG™ image generator is a commercial off-the-shelf software product for PC-based visual simulations. X-IG™ specifically designed around industry-standard OpenGL™, a high performance graphics Application Programming Interface (API) and OpenFlight™, the 3D standard format for the visual simulation industry. X-IG™ runs on 100% commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) PC-based hardware and software, including Windows and Linux operating systems.

CATI's X-IG™ is designed to render real-time out-the-window (OTW) and sensor scenes for training and simulation, creating photo-realistic visual and sensor scenes of the real-world, utilizing high-resolution imagery. X-IG™ includes complete physics-based modeling for atmospheric, night-vision goggles, Day-TV, and FLIR simulations. X-IG™ additionally, includes special-effects which complement the image generator enhancing scenes providing a fully immersive visual environment.
Currently in use in various military, civil and commercial customers, X-IG™ provides high fidelity visualization for flight simulators and a variety of other training systems. X-IG™ scaleable architecture supports multiple channels of synchronized scenes including collimated, dome, HMD and combiner display systems. Advanced data compression, optimization and paging algorithms allow X-IG™ to render high polygonal geo-specific databases of unlimited coverage at 60 Hz.

X-100 Commercial Image Generator
CATI brings the same image generator technology to the civil and commercial training arena with X-100™ that it provides to the military with its X-IG™ image generator. X-100™ is designed to provide the civil and commercial training market with high end performance solutions at significantly reduced initial investment and total cost of ownership.
The processing power of X-100™ renders realistic imagery based databases that address the proposed FAA regulatory requirements (Part 60 / Amendment 3) for realistic, accurate and dynamic scene content. With X-100™, the user can choose the flight conditions, airport scene and runway environment required. X-100™ provides the user with true-to-life atmospheric conditions including cloud cover, fog, haze, continuous time of day, rain, wind and snow.
